HARVARD BUSINESS REVIEW

WHAT IS HPA

We are a boutique M&A advisory firm with decades of experience in micro M&A transactions.
Our team of M&A specialists has led or contributed in hundreds of acquisitions and integrations of software businesses worldwide.

HPA leverages our extensive deal-making experience to reduce our clients’ risk of engaging in M&A activities, using our decades of trial and error in the field to help clients navigate both areas of opportunity and common mistakes. Our automated approach helps clients to move faster and with more certainty, enabling more rapid deal closings and more efficient and smooth integrations.

The name HPA is taken from the high-performing algorithms that serve as the ‘secret sauce’ of many software systems, and are key to solving computationally tricky problems. The creation of these algorithms requires considerable trial and error and time to perfect, creating a competitive advantage when used effectively.

Our secret sauce is the experience and deep expertise of our team, which includes decades of combined work buying, selling, and integrating software business. We have deployed billions of dollars of capital and completed hundreds of M&A transactions and integrations. Through our extensive experience, we have designed a new approach to M&A transactions that allow our clients to acquire and sell companies faster, integrating them more quickly, with a higher certainty of successful execution against their thesis.
